Claude-Oscar Monet (1840 – 1926) was a founder of French ‘impressionist’ painting. He sought to capture the essence of the natural world using strong colours and bold, short brushstrokes leaving the studio to paint outdoors (plein-air landscape painting). He was particularly fascinated by changes in light and colour brought about by the passing of time; and would often paint the same subject matter at different times of the day or year.

The images used for our prints are gallery approved ‘museum quality’, produced on 350gsm silk art paper from an FSC registered paper merchant and the inks are vegetable based. Each print measures 280 x 210 mm (11.02 x 8.27 inches), and is ideal for framing.
DUET started creating and selling Fine Art Prints in Spring 1999. Since then, we have worked with Tate Britain & Modern, the Royal Academy of Arts, the Royal Horticultural Society, Musee d’Orsay, and more, compiling collections of artworks to promote exhibitions and events.
