Elvis Sings 100 Hits From the 50s-five-CDs

Product Features

Elvis died at his home, Graceland, on 16th August, 1977 but his music lives on. His musical influences were the pop/country music of the early 50s; the gospel music he heard in church and the black R&B he came across as a teenager growing up in Memphis. This combined with his natural raw energy gave the world a sound and style that ushered in a whole new era. This collection takes us on a journey from the beginning of his singing career, in 1954  with Sam Phillips legendary Sun Records label t – his transfer to RCA Victor in 1956 – up to the end of the 50s. Hit Singles, Hit Albums, Hit Films. Globally, ‘The King of Rock n Roll’ has sold over one billion records. His good looks, charisma, and good humor endeared him to millions, as did the humility he showed throughout his life. Known the world over by just his first name – Elvis.
