West Side Story
based on Shakespeare’s Romeo
and Juliet, explores the rivalry between two teenage gangs of
different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Tony (Romeo) who belongs
to the white gang, falls in love with Maria (Juliet) the sister of
the leader of the rival Puerto Rican gang. The
music, extended dance scenes, and focus on social problems
marked a turning point in American musical theater. Bernstein's
score for the musical has become
legendary featuring as it does "Something's Coming", "Maria",
"America," "Somewhere," "Tonight", "Jet Song", "I Feel Pretty" and
"Cool".

Wild West
heroine
Calamity Jane
and explores an alleged romance between her and
Wild Bill Hickok
in the
American Old West.
The film starred
Doris Day as
the title character and
Howard Keel as
Hickok. It won the
Academy Award for Best Original Song
"Secret Love” and was also nominated for Scoring of a Musical
Picture and Best Sound, Recording. Our 20 track album includes: The
